After a break, Burgermeister is finally back in town and this time at two locations. Thankfully, it's still proof that a good burger in Zurich doesn't have to cost 25Sfr. The meat in our chilli cheeseburger was tender (and still a little red inside, as it should be), the salad was crisp and the homemade sauce and jalapeños added plenty of flavour without making the burger too spicy. The bun, however, could have been a bit firmer and the fries were just average when a hearty country cut would have been perfection. But that's just nitpicking, as the meals in general are all good value for money. No reservations are taken at this classic fast food joint. Just place your order at the counter and wait until they call your number. Second location at Hardstrasse 316 at Escher-Wyss-Platz.
