The baked goat cheese served on a caponata (cooked vegetable salad) convinced us that Enzian isn't your average Swiss restaurant. The cheese was flavourful and perfectly baked – crispy on the outside and molten on the inside. A fresh salad with three different homemade sauces was included as a starter for lunch, but you can of course sample many of its Swiss classics like Bratwurst, Ghackets with Hörnli (minced meat with pasta) and Geschnetlzletes. That said, although we're happy to sing the praises of its chefs, the interior design was underwhelming. The designer lamps and the odd panels dividing the room simply didn't fit in one space, but perhaps you'll disagree. Enzian is run by a foundation aiming to create jobs for people with special needs. It seems to have succeeded as the service was pleasant and attentive.
