The Fontys University of Arts is unique in the Netherlands. Of the 2100 students who apply and audition each year only 500 are admitted. The university has several faculties including the School of Architecture and Urban Design, Academy of Art, Communication and Design, Academy for Circus and Performance Art, the Academy, Dance Academy, Rock Academy and Theatre Academy.
