The view of a motorway and an empty square isn't one of the most picturesque in Tilburg, but the vast majority of Neoliet's patrons couldn’t care less, as they visit this complex for other reasons. Built in 1994, this climbing centre, which houses several climbing walls dozens of metres high, is heaven on earth for mountaineers. But make sure you’re not in a hurry if you want a drink as the barman doubles as a climbing instructor for beginners. The small sports canteen offers several kinds of beer, some small snacks and paninis and to make up for the rather bleak surroundings, colourful Tibetan prayer flags as well as climbing gear serve as decoration. If you find yourself without entertaining company, you can always browse through the magazine rack for such riveting titles as Alpinist and Klettem.
