Weemoed has many regulars who were born and raised in Tilburg. Although they might look back on the old days with a touch of melancholy (weemoed), they seem to clearly enjoy the present. But it appears that some things are hard to let go of. The wall at Weemoed is adorned with a cigarette vending machine rarely seen at Dutch bars anymore. The drinks prices are also somewhat nostalgic: €1.70 for a beer. With antique cabinets for the glassware, a real CD cupboard, dogs in residence and nuts on the bar, the pub is a bit like an old-fashioned Dutch living room. The toilets bear the scars of creative spirits that went wild with pens and markers.
