Despite its old-fashioned atmosphere and dated furnishings, we still like Marktzicht, if only because the owners couldn't care less about the latest trends. You won't find any students here, but you will encounter sincere service with a genuine smile. Every Saturday a fabric and clothing market with a 400-year-old history is held virtually in front of the entrance and then the clientele tends to change a bit. But during the week the vast majority of visitors are regulars who will give you a friendly nod and won't mind your presence at all, as long as they can continue playing pool on the nearly antique Wilhelmina billiards table. The terrace is also a major bonus.
