Of all of Springhaver’s functions – it also houses an art house cinema and a restaurant – the pub is probably its best asset. Its meals are big, reasonably priced and cooked with organic ingredients. The place also has a cosy atmosphere and a large quantity of reading material if you don’t feel too sociable. Orders are taken at the bar and if you hang around long enough you might be paid a visit by the owner’s cat!
