In 2012 the whole interior of this outdated hostel was stripped and replaced by a funky interior. The result is that you no longer feel to be in a prison camp, but on a holiday enjoying the beautiful surroundings of this great place. A large campfire is often lit outside by the friendly and enthusiastic staff. The beautiful forest is perfect for walking and hiking and the nearby Soesterduinen sand dunes are ideal for picnics. The train station is within walking distance, so many of the royal palaces and the Amersfoort Zoo are easy to reach.
