There is something very ‘Aarhus’ about the Dokk1 Cultural Centre. Resembling an expansive polygon that has been left behind by aliens, the building is many things to many people — library, event hall, cultural centre, living piece of art and more. Home to the largest public library in Scandinavia, Dokk1 rewards those who are willing to go the extra mile in their exploration, with hidden nuggets of beauty all around. The whole thing was built with sustainability in mind too, which always gets a thumbs up from us.
