Just north of the bazaar, the family-run Friends hostel is perhaps one of the best in the country, offering a loving home for weary travellers, with clean and cool rooms and panoramic views from the terrace. Excellent breakfast, lunch and dinner meals are available; bicycle rental and transfers from the bus stop can be arranged as well.
