Already surrounded by new highrises and thumping clubs, this monster's lair has finally been dragged into modern times by its recent conversion into a centre for art and experimentation, with local and international artists inhabiting the building for 3-month residencies - keeping the 1970s style and furnishings intact, and opening for exhibitions a few times per year.
