Andorran cuisine is mainly Catalan due to the country's geographical specifics and historical origins. Andorran food also contains some specific elements, borrowed from both the French and the Italian tradition – pasta, fresh-water fish, meat and vegetables are the main ingredients for every traditional meal, prepared in the region. Most of the vegetables and cereals are grown locally in the Pyrenean valleys.
Of course, local restaurants could offer not only traditional Andorran meals but also a bit of everything else. Being a country with an exceptionally well-developed tourism niche, Andorra is capable of taking quite a good care of its visitors, including their gastronomic wellbeing.
