Katoghike

Small but perfectly formed, you could say. Katoghike was the only church in the city to survive the devastating earthquake in the 17th century, and it also survived the obsessive destruction of the Soviets thanks to the efforts of the local community. It has taken on an extra importance as a result, befitting its tranquil appearance and imposing spiritual weight. The cathedral is found in the downtown area.
