Can Tho Kitchen

The only thing not to like about the Cần Thơ Kitchen is the fact that it can often be difficult to get a table if you don't have a reservation, since virtually everyone who's discovered this hidden gem on the Gold Coast's north end have fallen in love with it – ourselves included. Run by a husband and wife team who emigrated from Vietnam as children, despite the fact that it's located in a otherwise nondescript shopping centre near Runaway Bay, the restaurant wouldn't look out of place in the city's trendier districts, or even Sydney for that matter, with every detail seemingly done right – from the lighting to the cutlery. Of course ambience alone isn't enough to build the kind of word of mouth following that Cần Thơ has, and the food matches or even surpasses the atmosphere in terms variety, taste and presentation, while the service is both personable and professional, perfectly complimenting the entire dining experience. Highly recommended!
