Hong Kong Airlines is the fastest and easiest way to get from the Gold Coast to Hong Kong, with three flights per week (stopping briefly in Cairns on the outbound leg, but returning direct). However, AirAsia is almost always the cheaper (and sometimes much cheaper) option, if you don't mind a connection and layover in Kuala Lumpur.
