Stairwell Coffee

A classic example of that proverb about not judging a book by its something or other, Stairwell Coffee is a literal hole in the wall found under a (you guessed it) stairwell in a small arcade that's not exactly the kind of place you'd want bring a special girl on a first date. In fact, we'd passed by a few times without giving it much thought, until one day the head concierge at the nearby Hilton recommended it to us, and we discovered that their coffee amongst the best in Surfers Paradise. What's more, we've actually grown to enjoy the gritty urban ambience that surrounds the handful of tables and chairs. If you've got more refined tastes than us (and there are few who don't), then you can get your coffee to go.
