A very small gallery with a very large collection, the Victoria Art Gallery is housed in yet another Grade II listed building in a city that is full of the things. The gallery is a big (well, small but stacked) love letter to art, with a tremendous collection of British oil paintings the arguable highlight. The anti-art mentality of the current Conservative government has left the future of the gallery uncertain, so visit this one while you still have the chance.
