Belfast & Northern Ireland

What to See

Belfast City Sightseeing Bus Tour

This open-top bus takes a 100min, 8km round-trip along some of the city's most impressive and evocative sights and includes 21 hop-on/hop-off points. Starting at High Street, the tour dips into the Titanic Quarter and (from 10:00 - 14:00) glides past Stormont before heading West to take in the political murals and Peace Wall along the Shankill and Falls Roads.

The return leg passes through the more sedate Queen's Quarter, past the University and Botanic Gardens, before heading back to base. The commentary is as entertaining as it is enlightening, with the guides cracking Troubles-related jokes only a local could get away with.

Citysightseeing's trained guides also take 75mins walking tours of the city centre including Cathedral Quarter, Laganside and City Hall. Groups are limited to 25 so book early. You can also see the city by bus, boat and walking tour for a combined ticket price.

Fantastic, helpful and funny tour! We really enjoyed this open bus tour of Belfast. Don't be put off by the bad press Northern Ireland has had over the years, Belfast is really worth a visit. This tour takes in all the sights, murals and delivers an unbiased insight into the history of Northern Ireland. Try and get one of the buses with Phil as your guide, you will recognise the buses from others as they are brightly branded with the CitySightseeing logo... Highly recommended by two ex-pat Aussies!
