Images of testosterone-pumped mercenaries jumping into lawless Africa give way to graceful skydives above some of the island's most spectacular scenery as the Wild Geese team guides you through the ultimate adrenaline-fuelled experience.

These guys have been training wannabe parachutists for over twenty years, and their Sky Centre holds a Certificate of Merit from the British Parachute Association (B.P.A.), so you know you're in good hands.

The Centre has a fully-equipped kitchen, TVs, DVDs, pool table and overnight 'bunkhouse' accommodation to ensure a stress-free stay. And the Indoor Training Centre provides everything for the novice and experienced jumper, from briefing room to suspended harnesses.

Open year-round and offering jumps from dusk to dawn, the only battle you'll have in taking to the skies could be with your jangling nerves. Family and friends are welcome to stay with you every step of the way, and can even watch the big moment from a visitors' viewing area.

Three types of jump are available. The Static Line RAPS Course (£180) takes one day's training, culminating in a solo 3200ft, 3-4 minute jump with a canopy that automatically opens when you leave the aircraft.

The 2RAPS 6 Jump Course starts with the above and includes five further jumps at a discounted price, with the option of a free-fall on the final jump.

If these sound too gung-ho, why not go for the 10,000-13,000ft Tandem Sky-Dive in which you and an experienced instructor are attached to a dual harness for a mind-blowing free-fall/canopy jump combi.

Jumpers must be aged 16+, and disabled people can also do the Tandem Sky-Dive.
