This fantastic 48-hectare oasis, on the southern outskirts of the city, is a sweeping sea of rolling lawns and swaying trees and a masterclass in floral landscaping. Its main building, 19th century Wilmont House, was taken over by the Dixons in 1919 and bequeathed to the 'citizens of Belfast' by Lady Dixon upon her death in 1959.
