One of the city's best known restaurants, it's long been a favourite of both visitors from abroad and local (including some of Belgrade's most prominent personalities), yet has still somehow managed to maintain a homey unpretentious charm since it originally opened all the way back in 1847. The storied restaurant hasn't survived more than a century and a half on its name alone, and when it comes to the menu you can't make a bad decision - although our recommendation would be to try something baked in the traditional sač oven. Located near Topčider Park, a stroll though the forested paths is a great way to work up an appetite.
