A must-visit event for all horse enthusiasts, equine aficionados, filly fanciers and stallion stalwarts. The Pearl Mane of Lower Srem is all about horses you see! More specifically it's a contest for the most beautiful mane amongst Lipizzaner horses, the white breed made famous by the Habsburg Empire, and post-Habsburg popularity with audiences around the world. It will be held at the Biser Nautical Village in Boljevci, a small town some 25km southwest of Belgrade. 'Biser' is Serbian for pearl, hence the name of the event. This year, two additional events will join the festivities, Middle Age in Nautical Village and Fish Soup Contest, making the day an even more attractive destination for families looking to get out of town on a sunny autumn Sunday.
