Bihać

City Park

Gradski Park     more than a year ago
Now the lush green centre of Bihać, the town’s main park wasn’t always a peaceful spot of verdant nature and modern relaxation. It was here that the city cemetery was originally located, but it was the arrival of Austrian rule that saw the graveyard moved outside of the city, the new occupiers choosing to live next to life rather than death. We’re happy they did, as the park offers all the magic that a park tends to, from elderly strollers to newly loved-up teens. There are also a couple of socialist-era monuments hidden in there, for the spomenik hunters out there.
