Aston Hall might just be the most ostentatious example of Brummie wealth, and we’re well on board with making the trip and giving this Jacobean beauty a good old gawp. Completed in 1635, this was actually the first country house of its kind to pass into municipal ownership, paving the way to the museum it is today.
