This celebration of Oberkrainer music, a traditional Slovene folk style that is akin to the polka and waltz, will feature performances by various internationally renowned ensembles, and is guaranteed to liven up the town for at least one late autumn weekend. In addition to music, plenty of traditional food and drinks are also on hand, and the event always attracts thousands of visitors from Austria and Germany - where Oberkrainer is perhaps even more popular than in Slovenia - as well as from Italy, Hungary and elsewhere.
