Bihać may have been captured by the Austro-Hungarians in 1898, but it took many attempts to before the Central European empire could wrestle the city out of Ottoman hands. This Islamic-style mausoleum housed the remains of soldiers and citizens who died during one of the many Austro-Hungarian sieges and was renovated by the new occupiers, ostensibly to show the local population that they came with good intentions. It was damaged plenty during the wars of the 20th century, but has been renovated since and is in good condition today.
