Vying for attention with the fortress as Bosanska Krupa’s main attraction, the city centre Green Islands take the torch when the weather improves. A great example of sustainable tourism and local initiative, the islands have been transformed in recent years from something the town had to something the town celebrated. The network is made up of eight islands connected by strong wooden bridges, offering a variety of photo-ops and tranquility in spades. Two bars open here in summer and there are also plenty of recreational spaces for visitors of all ages. Gorgeous.
