The Tara River Canyon is remarkably beautiful. Here the water shines a little brighter, the mountains rise a little higher, the greenery is a little denser and the rafting is a tad more thrilling, a tad more exciting. This is wild beauty at its most ferocious, but that ferocity comes with beauty the likes of which you rarely get to see with your own eyes. On the Bosnian side of the border the canyon is full of viewpoints, rafting camps and idyllic villages, all offering ethereal tranquility and life-affirming existence in equal measures.
