Mostar is the capital of Herzegovina and thus the best place to spend some dough in the area, although don’t expect the glitz and glamour that we’ve come to associate with rampant consumerism. Well, saying that, you’ll find that at Mepas Mall, but shopping in Mostar is a surprisingly enjoyable experience if you put in a bit of effort. Independent galleries and shops abound, so put in that extra mile and you’ll be rewarded ten-fold. Also, don’t haggle at Vrapčići, because you’ll end up paying over the odds for a wallet. Trust us.
