Čapljina itself is a pleasant little town just a short stroll from the border with Croatia, but it is the many sights that surround it that make it a fascinating visit. Gorgeous Počitelj is a couple of kilometres upstream, while the Roman ruins of Mogorjelo are some of the best in the country. The stunning Hutovo Blato nature reserve is just a short drive south of town, a place where flora and fauna combine with stunning results. Čapljina itself? Charming, cute, delightful, no to mention home to some seriously good craft beer in the shape of Trojansko Pivo.
