Church of Holy Transfiguraton

The main place of worship in the centre of Trebinje, the Cathedral Temple of Holy Transfiguration of Our Lord could not be in a more scenic location. Safely tucked away in the centre of the city park, the cathedral is equal parks main event and undiscovered secret, a monumental place to express one’s faith or to simply enjoy the artistic merits of human beings. The exterior image of the church is one thing, but the interior more than holds it own with an impressive array of frescoes. Eagle-eyed visitors may notice Nikola Tesla, Mihajlo Pupin and Jovan Dučić among them, a nod to decidedly more modern saints.
