Casa Sfatului/Brasov History Museum

Casa Sfatului is Brasov's most photographed attraction. The tower is much older than the building itself: originally a watchtower for approaching barbarians it was incorporated into the main building at the beginning of the 16th century when it became the city's Town Hall. What you see today is largely the result of an 81-year renovation after a great fire hit Brasov in 1689. The building houses the Museum of the History of Brasov.
