Ropemakers' Bastion

more than a year ago
The hexagonal ropemakers bastion was first built around 1416, and subsequently rebuilt after a fire destroyed the original in 1649. The house inside the fortress (the oly one of its kind on the city) was added in the late 18th century. It is still lived in and as such the bastion is not open to the public.
