Madeira Lift

Is that Grade II 19th century lift expensive? Unfortunately yes, that’s Madeira Lift. If you didn’t think we were going to go there, we’ve got some old rope you might be interested in. Recently restored to its former glory, Brighton’s Madeira Lift is a veritable time machine, whisking visitors back to a century or so ago and to a very different Brighton Beach. It is one of those eloquent English seaside images that we dearly adore.
