Steaua’s stadium, once the most modern in Romania, is horribly decrepit by most normal standards. Only part of the main stand is covered, and the vast majority of fans are exposed to the elements. While most Steaua home matches are played here, bigger games 0 including derbies against the other teams in Bucharest - are played at the Arena Nationala.

Head for Tribuna 0 if you can. Local hooligans stand on Peluza 1. Tram No. 41 nominally runs here (stopping just yards away) but for big games when the road outside the ground is closed it is forced to terminate some distance away. The best way to get here is by taxi: just get the driver to take you as close as possible then walk (following everybody else).
