A former exhibition hall (one of many in Herastrau park; this particular one was known as Pavilion H, hence the name of the place) converted into what the owners claim is the largest beerhall in eastern Europe. When you see the size of the place you will no doubt agree. There are various areas in which you can enjoy your beer, and yet despite the size the place never feels empty. Indeed, if there is a popular band on (there is lots of live music here , both during the week and at weekends) you may have to queue to get in if you haven't got a reservation. There is a surprisingly decent range of rather good food, and the portions are beyond enormous.
