Tucano Coffee

One of Bucharest's most talked-about cafes, not least for the fact that it serves amazing cheesecake and its freshly roasted speciality Arabica coffee. This is much more than a simple café however: it puts on all sorts events, both for kids at the weekends and for us grown ups in the evenings. It hosts yard sales, book clubs, workshops, music evenings and film nights. Bohemian and non-conformist it is Bucharest at its best. Find the original next to the British Council, and a newer but no less excellent branch in the Old Town.
