With wooden furniture and fittings, and a menu consisting mostly of bio and organic items, alongside other ‘free-from’ items such as their lactose-free, glucose-free and sugar-free selections, this place is new age from soup to nuts. Good coffee is their main thing, with a selection of French roast coffees from Guatemala, Ethiopia and Brazil plus 7 other varieties of biocafé. There is also a children’s corner with around 10 tables, and a bakery corner selling buns and croissants baked on the spot. Ecocafé comes in handy before or after a visit to the Puppet Theatre just across the road. They also have a newish branch in Buda in the First District inside the Krisztina Plaza, Krisztina krt. 39/B.
