Momotaro seems to want to be a Japanese Chinese restaurant and they are managing just fine. The menu includes some ramen noodle dishes and Chinese food unlike the gloppy, gelatinous stuff found in many of Budapest’s Chinese fast food joints. There aren’t many tables and the seating (stools) isn’t conducive to leisurely, relaxed meals. Perhaps the quick turnover of customers keeps prices so low for such good food. It’s not the decor that keeps people coming back. (Mains 900 -4200 HUF)

We live some distance away in Buda, but still make regular trips to this restaurant. Most authentic food around, great atmosphere, wonderful staff. Quick and efficient, a blessing in Budapest. You won't miss the Opera if you decide to have a quick dinner here!! And great dumplings...

I just ate there today, and not my first time, even though I don't live too close to it. Awesome food, always Japanese and Chinese people eating there, so it must mean something too. It's been on the Top 33 list of chew.hu for a long time.
