The Gendarmerie Nationale is basically a cinema museum that zooms in on the film industry, focusing on local films and its actors. The oldest film was shot in 1905, but the much later films such as the 1930 film, Jean Choux's La Servante, have proven to showcase Saint Tropez’s cinematology in the best light. Located in Place Blanqui, the building itself is historic, it was used by Saint-Tropez brigade from the year 1879 until 2003. It is near the Port of Saint Tropez and l'Annonciade Museum.
