Pierhead Building

  Pierhead Building      +44 29 2089 8200     more than a year ago
One of the most iconic and recognisable buildings in Cardiff, the Pierhead Building was built way back in 1897 and initially served as the headquarters for the Bute Dock Company. The purpose of the building is secondary to its architecture, a little slice of French Gothic Renaissance magic on the Cardiff Bay. The clock tower often gets referred to as the ‘Big Ben of Wales’, but there is a lot more to this than lazy comparisons. The Pierhead is one of the most architecturally impressive buildings in the UK
