Welsh National War Memorial

Alexandra Gardens Cathays Park     more than a year ago
Built in 1928 and subsequently extended in 1949, the Welsh National War Memorial commemorates all of the Welsh men and women who died in the two World Wars. The pillars of the memorial encase three statues, of a soldier, a sailor and an airmen, with appropriate eulogies inscribed above them. This is a monument that allows history and respect to do the talking.
