Impressive in scale and meaning, the Memorial is an ode and reflection on the turbulent years of war this country has endured. It was built to honour the USSR victory over the Nazi foes and reclaiming their territories. A solemn reminder of the folly of war, the memorial has a pyramid of five stylized iron rifles in its centre and an eternal flame burning at the base.
