Tailors' Bastion

2 Piata Baba Novac     more than a year ago

Refurbished as recently as 2009, the Tailor’s Tower was built as a part of the city’s defensive walls and afforded those inside the chance to see trouble from afar, trouble that was never far around the corner. Such trouble is long gone, and today the tower doubles up as an urban culture centre that houses an ever-changing collection of exhibitions by local and international artists. If you aren’t that into art we still recommend peeking your nose inside, because the history is positively dripping off the walls (not literally).
