Catedrala Greco-Catolica Schimbarea la Fata (the Greek-Catholic Cathedral of the Transfiguration) was rebuilt by Franciscan monks starting in 1783 after the whole original frontispiece was destroyed following the crumbling of its tower. Later, in 1924, the church was donated to the Romanian Greek-Catholic Church.
