Thorvaldsens Museum

  Bertel Thorvaldsens Plads 2      +45 33 32 15 32     more than a year ago
Denmrk's famous artist Bertel Thorvaldsen, a neoclassical sculptor, has his own one-artist museum in the centre of Copenhagen. The monumental building was inspired by Greek architecture, as are works of Thorvaldsen. In this museum all the great names and faces can be found, from Nicolaus Copernicus to George Gordon Lord Byron, mighty Hercules and shy Venus. Some of his private possessions are also on display.
