Church of the Holy Spirit

Paid for by the Brotherhood of the Holy Spirit, the 15th-century Church of the Holy Spirit in Groda is renowned for the delightful statuette of God the Creator squeezed into the lunette above the door. Pictured as a man with wild flyaway  hair and flowing beard, it's a remarkably vivacious portrayal of a dynamic deity with lots of creating still to do. It is probably of 14th-century origin, salvaged from an older chapel on this spot - it's a good job they retained it in the new design.
