The delightful Waking Up/Buđenje has been and gone this fall, but its legacy will be felt in Batina for years. The festival was a vibrant celebration that turned the village into an open-air gallery with bright murals and street art, shining a thrillingly creative light on daily life in Batina. Long may such things continue, and here’s hoping other small towns and villages have been taking notes.
