Maksimir Park & the City Zoo

Nice place to stroll around with your kids, do any kind of sport or any other activity or even have a picnic, or just sit on one of the benches and enjoy while your children have fun in two children's parks in the west part of the park. A visit to the ZOO offering wide range of animals in natura-like habitats is a must if you want your kids to have fun. Kids tend to like a small petting zoo where they can actually touch the domestic animals. There is also a buffet restaurant in the zoo itself at its east end which is quite convenient if you want to spend all day.
