Olomouc has a curious mix of cash-strapped students, wealthy businessmen and international expats living within its delightful buildings, so it is no great surprise to find an impressive variety of restaurants in town. Traditional Czech restaurants dominate, but there are also a fine line of vegetarian, contemporary and international options. Most of the best restaurants in town are within walking distance of the main square, with plenty of quality joints found on the square itself, so pack that napkin and prepare for a feast. Don’t forget to leave room for dessert, but which we obviously mean ‘beer’.
